FluQuadri is a quadrivalent inactivated split virion influenza vaccine used to protect against four strains of the influenza virus SH 24: two influenza A strains(HIN1 & H3N2) and two influenza B strains(Victoria & Yamagata). This broad-spectrum coverage helps prevent flu-related complications and is essential for annual flu prevention.
How It Works
FluQuadri contains inactivated components of the influenza virus, which stimulate the immune system to develop antibodies against the virus without causing the disease. The vaccine composition is updated annually to match the circulating strains.
Ideal for:
- Age Group: Suitable for individuals aged 6 months and older.
- HighRisk Groups: Especially recommended for young children, elderly adults, pregnant women, and those with chronic health conditions.
Administration
- Given as a single injection, usually in the upper arm(>2 yrs) or Anterolateral thigh (<2 yrs).
- Recommended annually, especially before the start of the flu(rainy) season.
- Suitable for individuals aged 6 months and older to all ages.
Schedule and Dosage:
- Dosage for Children (6 months to 8 years): Two doses if it is the first time receiving the flu vaccine, spaced at least four weeks apart; one dose annually thereafter.
- Dosage for Adults and Older Children (9 years and above): One dose annually.
Key Benefits:
- Broad Spectrum Protection: Covers two influenza A strains and two influenza B strains.
- Clinically Proven: Extensively tested and approved by global health authorities.
- Convenient and Effective: Reduces the likelihood of contracting the flu and experiencing severe symptoms.

Severe reactions are rare.
Pregnancy and Lactation
- Pregnancy: Safe for pregnant women and recommended to protect both the mother and the unborn baby from influenza.
- Lactation: Safe for nursing mothers.
Minimum Age Group
- Minimum Age: Approved for use in individuals aged 6 months and older.
Contraindications:
- Severe Allergic Reactions: Contraindicated in individuals who have had a severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) to any component of the vaccine or following a previous dose of any influenza vaccine.

FluQuadri is an important tool in the annual fight against influenza, providing broad protection against multiple strains of the flu virus.
