EasyFourPol

EasyFourPol contains inactivated components of the bacteria and viruses that cause these diseases. When administered, it stimulates the immune system to develop antibodies, offering protection against future infections without causing the actual diseases.

Administration

• Primary Series: Typically administered as a series of three doses, starting at 6 weeks  of age, with subsequent doses at 1-month intervals- 6,10,14 weeks of age. Since the vaccine does not have Hep b, we need to give an additional , separate Hep b along with it for primary series.
• Boosters: Can be used for 1st DPT booster at 18 months and also at 4 yr DPT booster.
• Administration Site: Given as an intramuscular injection, usually in the upper thigh for infants or the upper arm for older children.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Pain or swelling at the injection site
• Mild fever
• Irritability
• Fatigue

Severe reactions are extremely rare.

Pregnancy and Lactation

• Pregnancy: Not for Adults.Not applicable, as it is intended for infants and young children.
• Lactation: Not for Adults.Safe for breastfeeding mothers to administer to their infants.

Minimum Age Group

• Minimum Age: Approved for use in infants starting at 6 weeks age
• Maximum Age: 1 yrs

Contraindications

• Allergic Reactions: Not recommended for individuals with severe allergies to any component of the vaccine.
• Severe Illness: Vaccination should be postponed in cases of acute, severe febrile illness
• Epilepsy, encephalopathy
